World Book Day: World book day was Thursday 1st March.  The school will be running its Book Fair from Tuesday 6th March to Friday 9th March. Discounts will be available in the school.  Children can dress up as their favourite book character on Friday 9th  March.Children can view books in the Library on Tuesday and Wednesday and the shop will be open to buy books on Thursday. Parents are welcome to visit the shop Tues – Fri 3.00 to 3.30.

 

Bags to school:We are pleased to announce that we raised €220.95 in our bags to schools collection.  A donation on our behalf has been made to Laura Lynn House the Children’s Hospice.  We would like to thank Sarah and Alyssa for all their help with organising and running the Bags to Schools collection.

Healthy Eating: We encourage all student and staff to take healthy lunches. No sweet Monday to Thursday. This includes chocolate cereal bars.  Friday is treat day.  The children can bring in a small bar, small packet of sweets or small bag of crisps etc on Friday.

Green day Friday 16th March children may dress up in green and will perform an Irish song and some Irish dancing.   Parents are invited to come in to see the children’s performance in the hall. Time to be confirmed.

Parental Consultation on School Tracksuits: We are a very active school.  There are a lot of sport activities in school and trips to various sporting events and we feel our students could benefit from having a school tracksuit. We would like your input on this matter.   Please fill in the survey attached and return to the school tomorrow.

Bricks 4 Kidz provides project based programmes designed to teach the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), to children. Our programs provide an extraordinary atmosphere for students to build unique creations, play games, and have loads of fun using LEGO® bricks. The activities are designed to trigger young children’s lively imaginations and build their self-confidence.

We are delighted that the BOM are providing the funding for us to run Bricks 4 Kidz in the school.2nd to 6th class will take part in this programme.

Parents Association Family Fun Run: Family fun run Friday April 13th .  Time to be decided Route is being finalized.  Please keep an eye out for future details.
