2nd October 2018



  • The Special Educational Needs and The Fire Drill policy were ratified by the Board of Management.
  • Parents will be balloted on school uniforms.


  • A music teacher will teach singing to all class levels in term 1. This will assist in the Christmas performance this year.
  • Parents Association raised €1,404.20 during the walk last year and €406 in the Airtricity walk. They will be organising upcoming events.

13th February 2018



  • Bricks-4-Kids will take place in the school in March
  • Paula Mc Glinchey was appointed Assistant Principal II at Scoil Phádraig
  • Child Protection safe guarding statement is being reviewed and staff is undertaking training
  • The Oxford Reading Tree reading scheme is being purchased by the school for guided reading in the classroom. Additional PM books are being purchased for Junior intervention.  The books are being bought using money raised from the Golf Classic, which will amount to €7,000.
  • School uniforms are currently being reviewed. Parents will be consulted.

December Report

5th December 2017



  • Many thanks to the Parents Association for raising €926.34. This money will be used  to buy new resources and for Aistear resources, for the junior classes.
  • Many thanks to David and Rebecca Fleury from “Smart Steps” for installing the new kitchen and also for installing slide robes into Ms. King’s class.
  • Date of enrolment is Monday 22nd January 2018 at 2p.m.
  • There will be a new post of responsibility (Assistant Principal II) appointed within the staff in the coming months.

Farewell to the 6th Class of 2016

Best wishes to our 6th class who finished up today- we wish them all the best as they move on to pastures new in secondary school.

Life Cycle of a Butterfly

Observing the life cycle of a butterfly

Ms Mc Bride’s class have been observing the life cycle of a butterfly and yesterday we let our butterflies fly off into the world! The children loved this experience! Here are some pictures of what happened when we went outside yesterday!

Golf Classic

Drumkeen National School Golf Classic

Thank you to the Drumkeen National School Golf Classic Committee for their hard work, dedication and commitment to the fund raising event, which took place last night in Stranorlar-Ballybofey Golf Club. It was a great success! Thank you to all Sponsors and also to all the parents who supported this event. School Closures

  • The school will close at 12 noon Monday 13th of June to facilitate staff in-service in the New Language Curriculum.
  • The school will close at 12 noon Friday 17th of June due to road closures in the area as a result of the Donegal International Rally.
